What to Look for in a Long Island Sunroom Contractor

• Licensed in New York State: Verify the contractor holds a valid NYS Home Improvement Contractor license. In Nassau County, contractors must also hold a Nassau County Home Improvement License. Both are requirements, not optionals. You can verify licenses on the NYS Department of State website.
• Liability insurance and workers' compensation: Request certificates of insurance before signing anything. Liability coverage protects your property; workers' comp protects you from liability if a worker is injured on your property. Any reputable contractor provides these without hesitation.
