Nor'easter Response — Suffolk County

Storm Damage Gets Worse Every Hour You Wait.

Mold starts in wet walls within 24 to 48 hours. More rain is coming through Monday. Every hour an open roof or a wet basement sits, the repair grows and the claim shrinks. Call Alex now. Roof-open houses go first.

Mold Starts

Wet sheetrock and insulation start growing mold within a day or two. Wet material out and drying in today, not after the adjuster.

Monday

More Rain Coming

An open roof takes water again every time it rains. A tarp today is the difference between a roof repair and a gutted room.

Day 1

The Claim Is Decided

Adjusters pay on what was photographed before cleanup. Wait, clean up, and the claim gets smaller. We shoot it as found, first.

What We Handle

Why Alec's

Local. Here Before the Storm. Here After.

We Are Actually Here

Barton Avenue, East Patchogue. Suffolk County since 2018. Out-of-state trucks leave before the roof leaks again. We do not.

Roof-Open Houses First

We run the list in the order the calls came in. Tell us what you see and we bring the right equipment the first trip.

Written for the Adjuster

Wind kept separate from flood, storm damage from wear. A scope that matches what the adjuster sees settles without a fight.

Quick Answers

Nor'easter Damage FAQ

Stay out of anything that is not obviously safe. Report downed lines to PSEG. Photograph everything as it is, before anyone cuts a branch or pulls a wet carpet. Then call us at (631) 312-7441. We tarp and board the same day where we can reach you.
We run the list in the order the calls came in, roof-open houses first. We are based in East Patchogue and cover Suffolk County, so the South Shore hamlets around us are the fastest. Tell us on the phone whether the roof is open, whether a tree is on the structure and whether there is water inside.
A tree that falls on a covered structure is the classic covered peril under a standard homeowners policy, and most policies also pay something toward removing it. A tree that fell in the yard and hit nothing is usually not covered. We photograph the tree where it lies before anyone cuts it.
If we can reach you safely and the roof can be walked, yes, that is what the first visit is for. Where a tree is on the roof, the tree comes off first, in the right order, and the tarp goes on after.
