What Does a $25,000 Kitchen Get You on Long Island?

Most answers to this question online are written by people selling $50,000 kitchens, so the answer comes back “not much.” That is not true, but it is only untrue under specific conditions. Here they are.

For context, Long Island contractors publish full kitchen remodels at roughly $30,000 to $80,000 in 2026, with Nassau running higher than Suffolk and reconfigured layouts higher still. Twenty-five thousand sits below the budget end of that. So the honest question is not whether it is possible, it is what has to be true for it to be possible.

What $25,000 includes, in our kitchens

• Complete cabinet set — wall, base and tall units for a standard kitchen.
• Quartz countertops, templated, fabricated and installed.
• An island, where the room takes one.
• A new sink, and the plumbing to connect it in its existing location.
• Demolition and haul-away of the old kitchen.
• All the labor — cabinet installation, counter coordination, plumbing hookup, trim.

What it does not include

Being specific about this matters more than the inclusions, because this is where a low number usually hides.

• Backsplash. Add it later, any weekend, or add it to the job priced separately.
• Appliances. Keep yours, or buy them separately at whatever tier you want.
• Flooring. If the existing floor is sound, leave it.
• Handles, on most sets. Some have them.
• Moving walls, or relocating the sink or gas. Once anything carrying water, gas or electricity moves, you are in permitted work and a different price. What triggers a permit.

Why the number is possible

This is the part that makes the price credible instead of suspicious.

Our installed kitchens run $20,000 to $30,000 — cabinets, quartz counters, an island, a new sink and the plumbing, demo and haul-away, and labor. Not included: backsplash, appliances, flooring, and handles on most sets. The price works for a specific and finite reason: the cabinet sets came from projects that were cancelled after the cabinets had already been ordered, so they are paid for and sitting in our warehouse. When they are gone the price goes back to market.

There is no manufacturing margin in the cabinets because the manufacturing is already paid for. There is no showroom overhead because there is no showroom. And there is no ten-week lead time, because the boxes are in East Patchogue right now. What the industry lead times actually are.

What the same kitchen costs elsewhere

• Long Island showroom, semi-custom, comparable spec: commonly $35,000 to $50,000, plus six to ten weeks for the cabinets.
• Published Long Island full remodel range, 2026: $30,000 to $80,000.
• Nassau County specifically: $35,000 to $85,000.
• High-end refacing on your existing boxes: $11,000 to $13,000 — new doors, old boxes, old layout.

That last line is the comparison worth sitting with. A top-end refacing job is roughly half the price of a complete new kitchen at our number. Half, for doors.

Who this is right for, and who it is not

Right for you if: your layout works, you want a genuinely new kitchen rather than a cosmetic one, you are willing to choose from sets that exist, and you would rather have it in weeks than months.

Not right for you if: you want a specific door in a specific color, your kitchen needs walls moved, or the room is an unusual shape that needs custom boxes built to dimension. In those cases wait for the factory and pay for it — we will tell you that rather than force a set that does not fit.

The catch, stated plainly

The sets are finite. They came from cancelled orders, and there is no reorder. When a set is gone it is gone, and the price on the next kitchen is a market price like everyone else's. What is in the warehouse right now.
