We order cabinets as soon as a kitchen contract is signed, because cabinets are the longest lead item on the job. Sometimes the homeowner changes the layout after the order ships. Sometimes the job gets postponed or cancelled outright. The cabinets still show up, and they go into our warehouse.

We are a contractor, not a cabinet store. Warehouse space is worth more to us than the margin on a set of boxes that has been sitting since spring. That is the entire reason the price is what it is.
